  • 3/4 cup (12 Tbsp; 170g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup (150g) packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (135g) white chocolate chips, plus a few extra for garnish
  • 1 cup (140g) dried cranberries, plus a few extra for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  2. In another bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  3. Fold in white chocolate chips and dried cranberries until evenly distributed.
  4. Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared sheets about 3 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 11–12 minutes until edges are lightly browned but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on sheets briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
