  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons non-dairy milk
  • 2 tablespoons refined coconut oil or butter (melted)
  • 2 eggs or flax eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1/41 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup, non-dairy milk, melted coconut oil, eggs (or flax eggs), and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, mix the cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until well mixed; fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Spread the batter into an 8×8 baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 22-28 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool fully before slicing into squares.
