Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • optional garnishes: sesame seeds, green onions, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Combine with remaining sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Let cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Line a baking sheet with oiled aluminum foil and place salmon skin-side down. Baste generously with half the prepared sauce.
  4. Bake for about 14 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Broil for an additional minute after basting again with reserved sauce for a golden finish.
  6. Serve over steamed rice and garnish as desired.
