  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1½ tablespoons white vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon minced garlic
  • Chinese chili pepper flakes (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken thighs in water, baking soda, and salt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix in eggs and cornstarch until well-coated.
  3. Heat oil in a wok to 375°F.
  4. Fry marinated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
