  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  2. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder; fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  3. Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. For the mousse, melt 8 oz chocolate with milk over low heat until smooth. Whip chilled cream until soft peaks form and gently fold in the melted chocolate mixture.
  5. Spread mousse over cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
