  • 1 lb smoked sausage, thinly sliced
  • 2 lbs potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced smoked sausage until fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, shredded cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
