Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 white onion, finely diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- pepper, to taste
- 1 pack dinner rolls, 12 count (I use King's Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls)
- 16 slices American cheese (I use Boar's Head)
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- pinch of salt and garlic powder
- 2 tsp. white sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. distilled white vinegar
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Butter a baking sheet and set aside. Sauté onions in olive oil until soft, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Slice dinner rolls in half and place the bottoms on the baking sheet.
- Layer with cheese slices, the beef mixture, and more cheese on top before covering with the top halves of the rolls.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds before baking for 12–15 minutes until golden.
- Prepare the burger sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
